Mind Sciences means any tool or technique that enhances the functioning of the human mind, or that allows an individual to learn to use more than 3 to 4 percent of their mental capabilities. An average person uses only 3 to 4% of their mind, while geniuses have been known to be using more. Einstein was known to be using about 10% of his brain and mind. In the Middle of 1974 Prof. Moiz Hussain established the first ever Institute in Pakistan dealing with the subject of Body, Mind and Spirit, Initially it was named as the Institute of Health sciences, later renamed as The Institute of Classical Yoga and in 1986 another feature was added to the existing facility "The Institute of Mind Sciences" Since then the Institute has specialized in the of field of Mind Sciences.

The Institute offers short certified courses as well as courses of long duration eventually leading to Degree and diplomas. Presently over 50 individuals are involved in research on various aspects of Mind Sciences and Complimentary medicines as students for Doctorate of Philosophy.
